Walter "Killer" Kowalski passed away early this morning after suffering a major heart attack on August 8. He originally was not expected to make it through the night but defied the odds and kept fighting even after being taken off life support, leaving only a feeding tube to sustain him. Finally the feeding tube was removed on 8/17 and yet Kowalski, 81, still hung in there for 13 more days.

Services for Walter will be held Wednesday, September 3rd at the:

Weir Funeral Home
144 Salem Street
Malden, MA 02148

Afternoon Services 2pm-4pm
Evening Services 6pm-8pm

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that wrestling fans send donations to:

Walter "Killer" Kowalski Memorial Fund
c/o Citizens Bank
876 Main Street
Malden, MA 02148

Everyone associated with IWN sends their condolences and best wishes to Walter's wife, friends, and family. He is a true legend in every sense of the word and was a credit to not only the professional wrestling industry, but society in general. His contributions to both will never be forgotten.
