The event, advertised to start at 2:30PM, didn't get started until
around 4. Brain Damage was unable to make the event as he was said to
have been in a car accident, however we've had it confirmed that his
car actually broke down and he was unable to make his flight. His
replacement was "Diehard" Dustin Lee.
In the opening round...
- Pinkie Sanchez was victorious over Danny Demanto to advance in the tournament.
- Scotty Vortekz defeated Mickie Knuckles to advance in the tournament.
- Whacks got the win in a match against "Diehard" Dustin Lee to advance in the tournament.
- Nick Gage vs. Drake Younger turned into a tag match when Drew
Blood & Devon Moore interfered. They were successful in defeating
Blood & Moore and thus both advanced in the tournament.
- Greg Excellent was successful over Ryan McBride to advance in the tournament.
- Danny Havoc was victorious over Ram to advance in the tournament.
Ram was Mickey Rourke's stunt double during the taping of "The
Wrestler" movie and served as Necro Butcher's stunt double in this
match.
In a non tournament match...
- Blkout (Sabian & Ruckus) defeated Joe Gacy & Alex Colon
In the semi-finals...
- Drake Younger & Scotty Vortekz advanced to the finals after beating DJ Hyde & Whacks.
- Nick Gage & Danny Havoc defeated Greg Excellent & Pinkie Sanchez to advance to the finals of the tournament.
In the finals...
- Danny Havoc won the Tournament of Death after defeating Nick
Gage, Drake Younger, and Scotty Vortekz. Necro Butcher got involved in
the match as he tried to cost Danny Havoc the match but was
unsuccessful in his attempts.
The event was, of course, taped by Smart Mark Video and will be available for sale shortly.
