Ok, listen … I know every week I go on and on about how awesome the show was and just how amazing and how exhausted I am after simply watching these guys. I’m sure many of you think, “Yeah, right. She’s just saying that so those of us who don’t drag our butts to the WrestlePlex every Saturday night will think we’re really missing something.”

Right? That’s what you’re thinking, huh?

Well, IT’S TRUE! You really ARE MISSING OUT by not being there!!! Last night was the absolute perfect example. Every event was like a main event!!

I mean, come on. Most feds will kick off the show with some of the lesser talented individuals but not PWF. OH, no. We started the night with Michael Faith. MICHAEL FAITH!! Who does that?? He is an international wrestling bad ass. And, if Faith was not enough, we threw in “SEXY” SHAWN SANDERS! Yeah, Baby!!! Now, that’s a yummy tag team.

Ok, sorry. I got a little off-topic there toward the end. It’s just all the excitement and the guys really are great, such amazing athletes – all of them.

I will say this, though … Faith fans are in a league all their own. An example: Route 66 Roller Derby’s Sonnie Boom. She has a Faith-on-a-Stick! I am not joking. She also has a Faith poster that somehow merited its own chair at the show last night. Again, sadly, I am not joking. But, SONNIE IS AWESOME! She knows a kick-ass show when she’s been to one. That’s why she does not miss a Saturday at the Plex!

Now, a quick run-down of the action.

First match: “Sexy” Shawn Sanders teamed up with “The Largeador” Michael Faith to take on Mike McNasty and Shane. Some of you may remember McNasty from a show back in August when Devin Storm came up from Dallas and brought a few guys. A band of thugs was more like it. McNasty hasn’t changed! But, round one went to the good guys!
Winner: Shawn Sanders and Michael Faith

Second match: Joey “The Mastiff” Armstrong vs. Biohaxxxard, refereed by Guest Ref Jason. Y’all remember Jason, right? A real snake of a ref who waits until the match is in full-swing to do his warm-up exercises. The only thing different about good ole Jason was a shaved head. Like that could fool anyone! Things got more than out of hand … they got out of the ring – waaaay outta the ring! Security had to step in when the *fight* was taken outside the ropes and all the way to the main entrance.
Winner: Joey Armstrong – but not without help from Manager “Sugar Daddy” Ryan Ray, a chair and crooked Ref Jason!

Third match: Rufus Lee Wilkins “The Southern Pitbull” vs. Mad Dogg 50. Talk about a mad dog! That pup seriously needs an attitude adjustment. I do not care how good a wrestler he is, the guy did not have to be so mean! I was wanting to hook a leash to that chain around his neck and reign him in. The former SMU noseguard was somehow able to get the best of Pitbull.
Winner: Mad Dogg 50

Fourth match: “The Natural” Shawn Mills vs. “Showcase” Shance Williams. Finally, Shance is back! Yeah!!! Unfortunately, his much-anticipated return resulted in a loss to the Canadian.
Winner: Shawn Mills

Fifth match: “.50 Caliber Sex Pistol” Cody Jones vs. Rob Ryzin. WOW! Ryzin really gave Jones a workout. This match was awesome and, fortunately for Jones, he brought his A game because Ryzin did not give up easily. Ok, now the night could have ended here and we all would have surely  gotten our wrestling fix for the week, but NOOOOO … it just kept getting better!
Winner: Cody Jones

Semi-main event: Savannah, GA’s Vordell Walker vs. Michael Youngblood. OMG!! How amazing was that match?!?!?!! Of course, the fact Youngblood entered the ring pissed about some mud being slung his way about using the name Youngblood only added fuel to the fire. By the way, he was born a Youngblood and has the paperwork to back that up. Unlike some other people you may, or may not, know. Anyway, after Youngblood unloaded a verbal assault that appeared to be directed at Ring Announcer David, he turned his attention to Walker. “Pity da fool!” (to quote another pissed off big guy) Seriously, though, Walker is no fool and is very much an equal to Youngblood in the ring. This match was absolutely amazing and I may be counting down the days until one, or both, of these guys graces the PWF ring again!

Main event: Chuey “The Chicano Assassin” Martinez vs. “The Hooligan” Austin Riley.  Was this not the absolute best way to end a night?!?!?!!! Talk about intense! Edge-of-your-seat, nail-biting, pee your pants you big baby awesome! This was so it!! What better way to wrap up the best-of-seven series for the NWA-SW/PWF Brass Knuckles Championship. The barbed wire was real and not treated in any way so as to soften the sting of landing of one of those spikes. Yes, I checked it several times intentionally and a couple times by accident when I leaned in too far to get a good pic and one of the guys fell against it thus picking up the slack. Now, before the match began, as always before these two take the ring against one another, the ground rules were clearly lay out; including the fact that not even a dq would prevent the changing of the belt in the event Cody Jones or someone else tried to intervene on Martinez’s behalf – as has happened too many times to count in this series. Wouldn’t you know, that is exactly what happened. Jones tried to insert himself where he did not belong but appeared a bit intimated by the barbed wire and had to call in back up in the form of Mad Dogg 50. Only Dogg went after Martinez who was displaying a change of heart and was walking toward the light – but in a good way. Although, the injuries Martinez sustained did lead to some question as to his well-being. He was carried out of the ring on a body board by the on-hand Emergency Medical Technicians. That made it almost impossible to celebrate the new NWA-SW/PWF Brass Knuckles Champ.
Winner: Austin Riley
