NWS Results From Holmdel, NJ 11/20: Team America (Former WWE Stars Tatanka & The Patriot) Battle The New Wild Samoans (Former WWE Headshrinker Samu & King Nagu), Joey Janella Defends The NWS Cruiserweight Title In A Triple-Threat Match, And More From Another Outstanding NWS Show

National Wrestling Superstars made its long-awaited debut at Holmdel, NJ's High School Gym on Friday night November 20th. NWS already has a strong contingent of Bayshore area fans, and a crowd approaching 300 came out to welcome them to this new venue, and did not go home disappointed.

In the opening six-man tag-team contest, NWS Heavyweight Champion "Corrupted" Corey Havoc & "The Cold-Hearted Playa" Danny Demanto & former WWE developmental protege "Too Cocky" Kevin Matthews vs. "The Outlaw" Shane O'Brien & Michael Reigns & Shock ended in a double-countout. Despite the obvious size and experience advantage of Havoc & Matthews & Demanto, their three opponents, all local favorites, took the fight to them and held their own. After several minutes, all six men took the fight outside the ring and the referee counted both teams out. But Kevin Matthews was not finished yet, as he dragged Shane O'Brien into the ring and slapped on his full nelson Matthews-Lock, rendering O'Brien nearly unconscious until the referee finally was able to force him to break it. Matthews seized the microphone and promised that former WWE superstar Tatanka would receive the same treatment the next night when they met in Ridgefield Park, NJ.

Before the next match, NWS manager and former NWA Canadian Heavyweight Champion "The Hockey Goon" Rocco Dorsey came out with "The American Turncoat" T.N.T and The New Wild Samoans (former WWE Headshrinker Samu & King Nagu). After hurling insults at the local crowd, Dosey promised that his wrestlers would dominate and be victorious tonight in Holmdel.

NWS Cruiserweight Champion Jumping Joey Janella retained his title in a Triple-Threat Match against former champion "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie & Jon Justice (making his NWS debut). The newcomer Jon Justice impressed all with his energy, and had the champion close to defeat on a few occasions, and the former champion Smoothie showed he would always be knocking on the championship door, but Janella showed his survivability once again. After Justice leveled Smoothie with a sternum-breaker, Janella planted Justice into the mat with a Michinoku Driver, then a moonsault from the top rope followed by the 1-2-3.

Slayer won by disqualification over "The American Turncoat" T.N.T (with manager Rocco Dorsey). Before the match, T.N.T objected to the presence of Big Bill Mills as the referee, as the two of them have had issues in recent months, but NWS Commissioner Gino Moore would hear none of it. The Jersey Shore madman Slayer took a pounding from the much larger T.N.T, but being too insane to feel fear or pain he hung in there and battled back. Slayer eventually took the big man down with a flying leap off the top rope and had him covered for the pin when Rocco Dorsey jumped into the ring to save his man from defeat, prompting the referee to ring the bell and disqualify T.N.T. An enraged T.N.T got in referee Mill's face, and he and Dorsey attacked Mills and laid him out on the mat, and it took the entire contingent of NWS referees and security to get T.N.T and Dorsey out of the ring. Commissioner Moore promised that both of them would be heavily fined for their actions.

The match between former WWE & WCW star "America's Hero" The Patriot (with manager Holmdel High School Wrestling Coach Jay Graham) vs. King Nagu (with manager Rocco Dorsey & teammate former WWE Headshrinker Samu) was thrown out as a no-contest. King Nagu took the fight to America's Hero, but after missing a splash off the top rope, The Patriot was ready to finish off Nagu when his partner Samu and Rocco attacked The Patriot and began beating him down three-on-one, until former WWE superstar Tatanka ran out from the back to chase off Rocco and The Samoans. The match was thrown out, and NWS Commissioner Moore ruled that the main event would now be a tag-team match with both of The New Wild Samoans facing off against The Patriot and Tatanka.

In a non-title match, Skitzo (a.k.a Holmdel High School teacher & coach Steve Rogers, with fellow coach Sean McCafferty in his corner) upset NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans. Skitzo, with the crowd cheering him on, stayed even with Oceans, who clearly had not prepared for this match and taken his opponent seriously. Ocean's cockiness would cost him in the end, when, after leveling Skitzo with a superkick, he went to the ring apron and got in the face of Coach McCafferty. McCafferty shoved Oceans back, right into a rollup from Skitzo, who got a quick 1-2-3 and the upset victory.

In the Main Event, Team America (former WWE stars Tatanka & "America's Hero" The Patriot, with Coach Jay Graham in their corner) defeated The New Wild Samoans (former WWE Headshrinker Samu & King Nagu, with manager Rocco Dorsey). Tatanka held the advantage early in the match, but the Samoans gained the momentum against The Patriot and pummeled America's Hero for several minutes, until Patriot finally ducked a shot from Samu and tagged in Tatanka. Tatanka cleaned house on both Samoans, and all four men were in the ring. Patriot stunned King Nagu with a diamond-cutter, and with the crowd cheering him on, Tatanka leaped from the top rope and hit King Nagu with a devastating flying Tomahawk Chop, followed by the three-count giving his team the victory and sending the crowd home happy.

NWS then returns to action with another double-shot weekend Friday December 4th in Kenilworth, NJ, and Saturday December 5th in New Milford, CT, both nights headlined by former WWE Tag-Team Champion and Hart Foundation member Jim "The Anvil" Niedhart (with a Saturday appearance by former WWE & ECW & TNA hardcore icon Spike Dudley). NWS then closes out 2009 with its final show on Saturday December 12th in Flemington, NJ featuring former WWE hall of famer Tito Santana, and Women's World Champion Mercecdes Martinez taking on the challenge of TNA star Awesome Kong.
