"CAGED FURY"
Steel Cage Match for SoCal Pro Heavyweight Championship
"Radiant" Jason Redondo (c) with TNT vs. SoCal Crazy
For over a year and a half in SoCal Pro, Jason Redondo and SoCal Crazy have been battling each other and the feud between the two wrestlers will hopefully come to an end on February 21, 2009, in Oceanside. Redondo first won the SoCal Pro Heavyweight Championship on April 26, 2008, when he defeated Al Katrazz in a very controversial win. The following month, The TNT Championship Gauntlet was made for SoCal Crazy to successfully win each month in the hopes of Redondo and TNT that SoCal Crazy would fall victim to his opponent and never receive a title shot against The Radiant One. On November 8, 2008, SoCal Crazy received his shot at the SoCal Pro Heavyweight Championship, but due to outside interference the match was thrown out and SoCal Crazy left the building again empty handed. Commissioner Durwood Murray then felt the need to sign a rematch that would occur at "New Year's Retribution '09."
Due to the actions of Redondo and The Elite members, the rematch between Redondo and SoCal Crazy would in fact be contested in a Lumberjack Strap Match. What happened on January 10 seemed to be a mirror image of the previous month because all sixteen lumberjacks ended up taking their frustration out on each other. The result of the melee with the lumberjacks lead to leave an opening for Adam Pearce to knock out SoCal Crazy and help Redondo pick up another victory and leave once again as SoCal Pro Heavyweight Champion. What will happen at "Caged Fury" when these two meet one more time in a 15 foot high steel cage? We will all have to wait and see what happens on February 21, 2009, live at the Oceanside's Boys and Girls Club.
SoCal Pro Tag Team Championship
Cool Imagery: Hector Canales and Ricky Mandel (c) vs. LTP and Willie Mack
Hector Canales and Ricky Mandel have come a long way in SoCal Pro since first teaming up together back at "Super Clash" on September 15, 2007. Canales and Mandel were finally able to get their hands on some gold and now they have every team in Southern California coming after them. Last month, Cool Imagery defeated Anchors Away in their first title defense and next in line will be the returning LTP and his partner, the debuting Willie Mack. On Saturday, February 21, 2009, LTP and Mack will make their SoCal Pro debut as a tag team looking to put gold around their waists.
Ever since Cool Imagery won the tag team titles, Commissioner Durwood Murray has had his cell phone ringing non-stop with teams from all over So-Cal wanting to wrestle in SoCal Pro for a chance at the gold. LTP and Willie Mack will try to do what Anchors Away could not do last month and that will be to walk away with a win and become the new SoCal Pro Tag Team Champions. Did Cool Imagery win the tag team titles on a fluke just as The Ballard Brothers said or will Cool Imagery be able to prove themselves to everyone as fighting champions who take on all challengers?
New Year's Retribution '09 Rematch:
"Rock 'N' Roll Rebel Soul" Johnny Yuma vs. "Big Nasty" Jason Watts
Since arriving to SoCal Pro from his tour bus late last year, Johnny Yuma has quickly become a huge favorite among the SoCal Pro fans and it sure does not hurt that he has won matches as well. Yuma has gone through Alex Saint, Ryan Stone, and Jason Watts, however, there is still someone that Yuma needs to settle the score with and his name happens to be Chimaera. At "New Year's Retribution '09," Chimaera was scheduled to wrestle Yuma, but Chimaera seemed to be injured and instead found Watts as his replacement in the match.
Currently, Commissioner Durwood Murray is investigating whether or not Chimaera's injury is indeed legit or if Chimaera is trying to avoid Yuma. Watts has been seen a few times on past SoCal Pro show and he was hired more as muscle by Chimaera to take out The Rock 'N' Roll Rebel Soul and possibly end his wrestling career. Will Watts be able to come up with the win this month or will the SoCal Pro fans see Watts get rocked and rolled over by Yuma?
Tag Team Attraction:
Aerial Star and Locura vs. Anchors Away: David E. Jones and Ryan Stone
David E. Jones and Ryan Stone have been in action a few times in SoCal Pro as a team. The SoCal Pro fans have seen much more from "Petty Officer" Ryan Stone in singles action, but now that David E. Jones is back from his deployment, this might mean we may be seeing this duo much more. Jones and Stone fell short to Cool Imagery on January 10, 2009, but they are looking to pick themselves up to a newly formed team that just came off a loss as well to The Ballard Brothers. We will have to wait and see if Jones and Stone deserve another shot at gold against Cool Imagery in the future. Another tag team title match for Anchors Away will remain to be seen if they can get past the tandem of Aerial Star and Locura.
