TOD is 10 Days Away! Masada and Brain Damage set to collide for first time ever!

Will MASADA get Brain Damage?
Written by Gordon Souly on CZWrestling.com

The stars at night, are big and bright, deep in the heart of Texas... Texan pride has been a part of professional wrestling for years. Men like Stone Cold Steve Austin and Stan Hansen reeked havoc on our industry for years, but no past Texans have accumulated the body counts of Brain Damage and MASADA.

MASADA, named after the cliffs that hosted many battles in the Middle East, comes to Combat Zone Wrestling with a reputation that proceeded itself. In his first and only encounter in the Combat Zone, MASADA was granted an Ultraviolent Underground title match simply because of his reputation. Without ever even competing in CZW, then owner John Zandig, the ICON of Ultraviolence, knew this young Texan had what it took to be in CZW. MASADA wowed fans with both his knowledge of classic wrestling holds and his ability to brutalize CZW Ultraviolent Underground Champion Danny Havoc in ways not seen before (and that is saying a lot). Even in defeat, MASADA was cheered by the toughest fans in professional wrestling and instantly offered a job by the new administration of CZW.

As new stars made their name in CZW, one long time locker room member was not seen. The Ultraviolent Cyborg sat at the Cult Fiction Compound contemplating his next move after being eliminated at Tournament of Death. The situation was further muddied as DJ Hyde, Brain Damage’s MBA stable mate assumed control of the Combat Zone. It was no secret when Brain Damage deserted DJ to join Cult Fiction and chase his championship aspirations, that both DJ and Maven looked at him as a traitor and to those with whom he associated as problems to be eliminated. Cult Fiction’s spiral leader Billy Gram made no bones about publicizing his fears that the Cult would be “wished well in their future endeavors”. But it was not to be. Billy confronted DJ at Down With the Sickness 4ever and was told to prepare the Cyborg for his return.

Strangely enough, even the birth place of these two sick men could not be the place of their meeting. Only one place, the ultraviolent Underground, in Townsend DE could house this battle. Delaware is the only state in the Union that would sanction a “New School Texas Deathmatch”. In the old school match, we have seen dungarees and bull ropes, but my guess is that we are more likely to see cacti and barbwire in Townsend, DE. Regardless of whether MASADA has a few tricks up his sleeve from Japan or if Billy Gram brings one of his “noisy little friends”, this match is guaranteed to be bloody, brutal and ultraviolent.

Stay tuned to CZWrestling.com in the coming days for more information regarding CZW's huge return to Delware on October 24th for "TOD Rewind", and for our November 14th return to South Philly for Night of Infamy!
